At Channel 9, Ernie Sigley described the diminutive singer's voice as “fabulous”. Music reviewer, Marion Winton, wrote that he possessed “a presence and a voice that are extremely beguiling”, Stage Whispers magazine called him “a wonderful interpreter ”. Billy Joel simply said… “great.”
Greg Stewart is a versatile singer who has performed in exclusive hotels, bars, lounges and clubs for 20 years. His work also includes television appearances, commercials, theatrical and musical productions, concerts and corporate events.
Greg served his musical apprenticeship in the 70’s as a lead singer with the legendary “Proclaimers”, which appeared regularly on television, toured nationally and released numerous albums and singles.
Other credits include national television appearances on the 7, 9 and 10 networks in Sydney and Melbourne, Hey, Hey It’s Saturday, The Midday Show, Good Morning Australia, Ernie and Denise, the Peter Couchman Show, Sounds and Carols By Candlelight, roles in productions of Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago, West Side Story and My Fair Lady, performances at the Sydney Opera House, Crown, the State Theatre, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Dallas Brooks Hall, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Melbourne Town Hall and long term residencies in major hotels and venues including the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Sofitel on Collins, the Carlton Crest Hotel, Le Meridien at Rialto and the Hotel Como.
Greg has worked with pianist and close friend Rod Wilson for much of his musical career.
